OUR MISSION

We are a family run diversified farm in central Vermont raising grass-fed lamb and beef, pastured pork, and apples. We pride ourselves on sustainable practices across our animal husbandry, orchard management, and overall land stewardship. These practices ensure healthy animals and healthy soil, with the end result being exceptional products that are in turn healthy for the consumer. We apply all of these same practices at our nearby apple orchard. Check out our Liberty Orchard page for more details
ABOUT USSami and Anna started with three sheep and a handful of chickens. After renting a few different farm spaces over the years and acquiring more animals along the way, they decided it was time to find something more permanent. They were lucky enough to stumble on a listing that checked all the boxes for expanding their vision, founding Stargrazer Farm in 2020.
Sami is in charge of grazing, orchard and equipment maintenance, and hay production. Anna runs marketing, sales, social media, customer service, and medical needs for Stargrazer's animals (lambing assistance, vaccinations, medical treatments, etc.). |
MEET THE FARM
We're a busy place! From lambs and calves being born to pigs rooting around our woods, there's never a dull moment at Stargrazer Farm. We get a lot of help from our trusty farm hands though...Fernie on the tractor loves to be part of the action, Peaty the draft horse provides stately managerial support, and Meeko the cat is in charge of field work :)
During the grazing season, the sheep and cows are rotated around our pastures in paddocks every 1 to 2 days. The pigs are pastured in our woods, doing the very important job of clearing out overgrown underbrush while they root for grubs and bugs. They are fed well with apple drops and thinnings from our nearby orchard.
